• This summer, we welcomed some new members to our team: Paymon, doing product marketing, Sarah, doing customer support and graphic design, and Travis’ new puppy, Koah, overseeing tail wagging and general office destruction.
• Travis has built a new custom towfish, and we continue to scan new areas all the time!
• We’ve recently updated lots of charts with better data to improve resolution and user experience.
• All of our 3D charts are now available on Raymarine. We love the way the charts display on Raymarine machines!
• We’ll be at the Miami Boat Show February 13-16, 2020. Mark your calendars!
• We’re changing the way we deliver our charts. Charts for GPS units will now always be shipped on chart cards to help eliminate customer difficulties with downloadable versions and copyright infringement problems.

Over the last few months, we had the opportunity to update a handful of our 3D charts. See below for instructions on how to update.

Follow these steps to update your Simrad, Lowrance, or Raymarine chart card:

1. Check the chart page for the updated screenshots and chart preview to ensure you want to update. Some charts have been split into two for file size and low resolution data has been removed. Resolution has been increased for almost all charts.
2. Once you’ve decided to update, purchase the chart update.
3. Download the PDF update form (upon purchase, you will get a link to the form on your checkout confirmation page, email confirmation, and in your StrikeLines.com account), complete it, and mail it to StrikeLines with your chart card.
4. We will ship back a new chart card with the updated chart.
5. You need to purchase an update for each chart you want to update.

Update Options:

• Normal – $49 – Most update orders are processed within three business days of receipt of your chart card. Updated cards are then shipped back via USPS Priority Mail (1-3 business days).
• Express – $99 – We try to process your update order the same business day we receive the chart card. We ship the new chart card the same business day if time allows via USPS Priority Express (1 business day for most addresses).
• Digital Download – $0 – Currently, updates for mobile devices and computers are free. Simply login to your StrikeLines.com account to download your update. Certain charts that have been split into multiple files will require our intervention. If all chart files are not present in your account, please email info@strikelines.com.

NOTE: Our license agreements with Simrad, Lowrance, and Raymarine require us to ship physical cards and pay royalties. Because of this we have to cover our costs for the physical chips, shipping, time it takes to burn them, and royalties. Updates for digital downloads like Google Earth and mobile devices are currently free. This may change in the future.

We know that there is demand for more chart updates and we are on it. The following charts are on our list, but we haven’t gotten to them yet. We’ll make an announcement when we do!
